Native Proteins

Native proteins are proteins that are in their natural, properly folded, fully functional form. They are not altered by any denaturing agents including enzymes, chemicals, heat etc. They are produced in vivo by the host organism and are isolated from the host serum and/or tissues using non-denaturing methodologies.

Native proteins have many advantages as compared to the recombinant proteins, which are generated using protein engineering techniques. Native proteins are used in applications such as ELISA, immunoprecipitation, functional assays etc. BioVision offers a wide range of native proteins from various species including human.

Key Features:

• Purified using non-denaturing methodologies.
• Properly folded and fully functional.
• Biologically active.
