Luciferase Substrates
BioVision offers D-Luciferin and Coelenterazine, the most popular and versatile bioluminescent substrates. D-Luciferin is available as luciferin free acid, as well as its water-soluble sodium and potassium salts. D-Luciferin is a substrate for the enzyme firefly luciferase whereas Coelenterazine is the luminescent substrate for Renilla luciferase and apoaequorin. Luciferin have been widely used in in vitro and in vivo luciferase reporter assays detecting gene expression and detecting the level of cellular ATP in cell viability assays or for kinase activity assays. Coelenterazine have been used for bioluminescent calcium detection and the monitoring of reporter genes in BRET (Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer), ELISA and HTS methods as well as chemiluminescent detection of superoxide anions and peroxynitrite in cells or tissues.
Key Features:
- • Highly Pure D-Luciferin, Highest Signal, Lowest Background, Highest Reproducibility
- • Numerous Options of D-Luciferin to Choose From (luciferin free acid and its sodium and potassium salts)
- • Offers Coelenterazine-h, another excellent luciferase substrate (used in gene reporter assays, live cell assays and biochemical assays such as ELISA, BRET etc)
