Perphenazine is a dopamine receptor antagonist. It binds to Dopamine receptors D₂, D₃ and D₄ with Ki values of 0.56 nM, 0.43 nM and 28.5 nM respectively. It also binds to serotonin receptors 5-HT1A, 5-HT2A, 5-HT2C, 5-HT6 and 5-HT7 with Ki values of 421 nM, 5.6 nM, 132 nM, 17 and 23 nM respectively. It is used as an antipsychotic drug.
